Carla Giordani, from Abicalçados’ Business Unit, notes that the trade show is internationally recognized for its high trading volumes and direct access to major players in the European market. “This year, Brazilian footwear companies are exhibiting under more competitive conditions following the entry into force of the trade agreement with the European Union and the gradual elimination of import tariffs across the countries that make up the bloc,” says Carla. She also highlights the potential of the market, which imported 3.5 billion pairs of footwear in 2025, generating US$71.1 billion and accounting for more than 40% of global footwear imports.
Expo Riva Schuh hosts two editions annually, welcoming more than 1,000 exhibiting brands and 12,000 buyers from around 100 countries at each event. Approximately 80% of those buyers come from Europe.
