The ILM Winter Styles will be held in Offenbach from 29 February to 2 March 2020.
The ILM Summer Styles is scheduled from 5 to 7 September 2020 in Offenbach.

Assocalzaturifici and EMI are launching two events in CIS countries: “La Moda Italiana@Almaty” in Kazakhstan, March 5 through 7, and “La Moda Italiana@Kiev” in Ukraine, March 11 and 12. Movement in the leather goods market

The leather industry reported a reasonably satisfactory result after a quite turbulent 2018. The BLE estimates that turnover in the retail leather trade as a whole was more or less on a level with the previous year. Initial forecasts indicate that bags, suitcases, satchels and small leather items worth EUR 2.6 billion were sold to customers last year.

In the first 8 months of the year foreign sales increased in value terms (+3.7%), but in the third quarter there was a slowdown in production (-5% in quantity). Exports outside the EU increased, particularly to China and South Korea (+20% and +11% respectively). More reductions in Russia. Domestic consumption remains weak.

MICAM 86 CONFIRMS ITS LEADERSHIP
IN THE FOOTWEAR SECTOR

By the end of September 2018's TheOneMilano, held from 21st to 24th at fieramilanocity with 140 S/S 2019 collections presented, 3,744 sector professionals had taken part (including 40% from abroad).

While on the one hand many exhibitors said they were satisfied with business and the professional contacts they made, on the other, exhibition numbers were down, which is something that must be considered in a broader context.

MICAM, the world’s most important footwear show, closes its 86th edition today at Fiera Milano (Rho) with 45,424 visitors, including 27,272 visitors from abroad (+4.3%) and 18,152 from Italy (+1.6%). Attendance figures were in line with those of the September 2017 edition and registered a 2.7% increase over February 2018.
